The Model is probably one of the most dedicated and hard working guy that I know which also happens to be a very successful DJ and an innovative producer thanks to his positive approach to life and music. His 2005 debut on Traum Schallplatten rapidly caught the attention of many techno veterans including DJ Hell who quickly signed him for a couple releases on International Deejay Gigolo and Jared Sims whose My Favorite Robot imprint saw the release of some of The Model's best known tracks. In the years that followed our Romanian brother-from-another-mother added an impressive list of labels to his repertoire such as: Underl_ne, Crosstown Rebels, Autoreply Music, Snuff Trax, Kompute, Skills, Chiwax and the list goes on. Having amassed such vast knowledge and know-how under his belt, the news about his own label came as no surprise to us.
Adult Central launches this month with 'Warehouse Traxx Pt.1', an ode to the long forgotten Chicago warehouse sound of the 90's, the dark sweaty basement raves and the speed garage sub-culture. Side A starts with 'Bang Bang', a high energy urban track reminiscent of high paced police chases, tense gang clashes or anything that involves danger at high rhythm. Next up is 'Who Did That', a very Model-esque Chicago house track that features a familiar bassline and drum sequence, but introduces a chopped vocal layer and some quirky crowd cheers. Side B changes the pace a little with 'Daz Sound', a post-garage big bass stomper that flows smooth, but hits hard, so watch out! Finishing off is 'Game Of Domination', an insanely raw and nasty piece of peak time garage rave, filled with crazy strings, strange alien vocals, and a plethora of reverbed to hell stabs and effects.
'Warehouse Traxx Pt.1' is not for the faint hearted, it's made for club use and high volume abuse!
