Finally! After 4 long years of painfully waiting, asking and begging around, Drumpoet Community finally represses one of their top shelf releases. Launched back in March 2010, the second Jayson Brothers presented a different facet of MCDE's work, one that will cement Danilo's reputation even harder as one of the most exiting house acts of the decade.
'The Game' came as a guiding light in a scene divided mostly between nu-disco, witch-house and dubstep by fueling the dormant house movement with necessary vibe and feel. In keeping with Danilo's tradition, the EP features 2 cuts, one for each side. Jayson Brothers definitely knows how to play 'The Game' and skillfully assembles a dark, sweaty, heavy hitter that if played at the right time, it has the power of turning bored-out long-drink sippers into grinning lunatics. In sheer contrast, 'Keep On Dancing' presents a much brighter and happier take on 90's house all built with the aid of stunning chords, catchy vocals and a smashing deep bass line.
So far it's only available at Decks and I strongly suggest buying 2 pieces, who knows when it will get another pressing, if any at all.
