We had a chance to listen to the debut EP from the new Wax Pistols imprint, and it's sounding reeeal crispy! Started a few months ago by Max and Dennis, two young passionate guys from Hanover, Wax Pistols, with this first release, has already set its roots in the underground scene.
The EP is made out of 4 original tracks by Dub Jamz (Max+Dennis), who kick things off with this four weapons EP crafted for club use. Raw and pumping percussions, rolling baselines, high pitched vocal samples and warm noisy pads are the essence of the production of the Hanover duo. All tracks sound really warm and are tape processed to get an extra analog feel. The EP is mastered by Reel Mastering in London, one of the freshest, most promising mastering services around. This new German label is definitely up to something good!
