Melbourne-based soothing deep house master, Andy Hart returns on Detroit Swindle's Heist Recordings with his latest collection of warm fuzzy feelings to boost your mood a little bit. He first appeared on the Dutch imprint last year co-producing the 'Jungle' track with Max Graef on the label's second release. Since then, the Australian sleazy disco wizard had numerous featurings on labels such as Pusic Records, Foto Recordings, Box Aus Holz, Melbourne Deepcast, Voyage Recordings, Quintessentials and even on Sleazy Beats Black Ops! Speaking of Sleazy Beats, Andy himself signed their latest release back in August, an delirious three tracker limited edition vinyl only pressing. But it's with 'La Même Pour Moi', that Andy Hart gets in touch with his deepest inner side and masterfully delivers four amazing creations of sounds of emotions.
The mood is deep and groovy, the feelings are warm and soft, but the energy is strongly felt across the entire release. The EP starts with a late-evening arp synth groover which combined with the energetic percussions and authentic vocal cuts, put 'Same For Me' close to the sound Heist is known for. Next up 'Merkin' goes more dreamy and urban with it's Chicago-inspired old school vibe take, but keeps the blood pumping hot and fast with its poignant kicks and beautiful arped swirls. 'Hermano' follows with an even better take on the sound that built house music, featuring a tight and jumpy beat, legendary vocal samples and the best trumpets I've heard on a house record in a long long time. Ending the EP is a showcase of Andy's sampling and cutting skills with 'Epsilon Girls', a track that could easily serve as a business card for the aussie sleazy disco edit jock. Everything from the sampling choices to the vocal work, tight arrangement, intricate layering and finely tuned details just screams Andy Hart and we love it! Nice one matey!
