Boy, it's been a while since we had a guest on our podcast. But you guys remember Degio's, the young and talented Italian acid-house bad boy responsible for our second release, right? Well for today's episode he took a trip through the deepest and darkest reaches of his music collection and to complement it visually he personally handpicked the above visual, courtesy of yet another italian artist, the photographer Federico Martelli. We hope you enjoy the music and have a lovely spring or autumn, depending on what hemisphere you live in ;)
Redson is a partnership between Siamak and Alex which began when they both moved to London after meeting at University. Their style stems from mixing timeless melodies with modern records to create a musical journey which they showcase through their guest podcast series. Currently, they are working on their Ever Been project – a platform focused on sharing the musical talent of like-minded people. Their vinyl-only mix for our podcast series draws inspiration from a wide range of musical fields and we hope you enjoy their selection. Also, make sure to follow them on facebook for more aural delights.
Let's welcome the amazing Buenos Aires-based DJ and Producer Javier Denevi back on We Play Wax. Last time we had the pleasure of interviewing him and now we have the great honor of putting his very own strictly vinyl podcast episode. It's hot, it's groovy and it's going to rock your flip flops off. Have a great weekend and enjoy the sun!
We find ourselves today right in the middle of summer and it's only getting hotter. And that's because Alessio Collina, the guy behind the remix from Degio's 'Questione Interiore' delivers a scorching sun-drenched podcast episode filled with the hottest house jams around and, of course, his very own remix for 'Sigaretta'. And what a better time to unleash it that on a perfect summer Friday afternoon, to get that weekend vibe going on strong.
We know this podcast comes after quite the break, but we promise there's more to come so stay tuned and enjoy!
Joe Manish is the kind of DJ who plays with just as much dedication whether the crowd is made of thousands or just of himself. This says a lot about his love for music and I am proud to say I have learned many things from him. I learned for example that you can photoshop yourself to look better on the Internet. I also learned that a DJ set should be surprising and sexy - that's why he always packs crazy mind tricks in his record bag. Joe likes to play vinyl but he mostly likes to play with his heart. And looking at the calendar date, this recording comes spot on! Being around him for a while already, I have seen the many musical shapes he takes, but this one is a whole new carnival. Enjoy the podcast!
